What a rare find! we purchased this beauty from the estate of a prominent physician who has since passed away.I have not seen a another 1950's unused 14KT gold zippo offered up for sale on Ebay, this zippo is mint never lit never monogramed with white wick,I even pulled out the cotton pad on the bottom and the wick is bright white still rolled up the way it came from the factory. Only marks on this lighter are a few very light surface rubs from moving from place to place over the years, there are no scratches,dings,dents,pits or corrosion of any kind, you will not be disappointed. Its hard to capture the gorgeous shine with my camera. Hinge is as tight as the day it was made. Insert is marked patent pending. I'm not an expert on dates but I think thisdates it somewhere between 49-57. You may wait a long time before you come across another gold zippo in this condition. please study the pics for details.
